This wall art piece is undoubtedly the most multidimensional piece I've ever done.
I first built the wood panel by using MDF on the top and aspen wood on the bottom, sourced from Durango, CO.
After creating a stamp from a tree cookie, I laid holographic film, layers of resin and alcohol ink to create the opal effect on the top half.
I then repurposed the glass from a broken crystal sound bowl for the center.
Then over the last few weeks I've been doing pyrography art on the aspen. I just finished adding the colors, varnish, gold leaf and final layers of varnish!
The photos and video can only capture so much, this piece is SO magical. Each time you look at it you will see something new!
